Forest Park, Oregon

$100.00

Forest Park in Portland, Oregon is exactly what you probably expect it is: an entire forest enclosed within the city limits. Portland is known for its tree-lined streets and its affinity with the natural landscape around it, but it manages to outdo even itself with the inclusion of a whole forest within the city itself. Running about eight miles long and a mile wide atop the Tualatin Mountain Range, Forest Park is over 5000 acres of quiet escape from the bustle of the city a long stone’s throw away. One of my favorite walks is Leif Erickson Drive (which you are not actually allowed to drive) and I made this image on an especially rainy winter’s day. It was wet enough I had to drape a towel over the camera to keep it safely dry.

A part of my “One of Four” series, this photo was made with a Fuji 6x17 film camera. Sadly this camera is now out of commission and all proceeds via the sales of prints from this set will go to help getting this camera to the repair shop and back in action. Thank you!

This panoramic image is printed personally by me and measures approximately 12.5 inches by 40 inches.
